WE PULLED THE HAT TRICK! Rhino Times, News and Record, and Greater Greensboro Observer Endorsements!

Just found out that I was endorsed by the Rhino Times today! I appreciate John Hammer's endorsement and I will do my best to serve citizens well as the Register of Deeds. I am one of the few Democrats that he has endorsed. Again, I appreciate it.

(In addition, the Conservative Values PAC took out a 1 page negative ad against me in the same paper. My daughter likes the costume, but the message is clearly tasteless and without merit.
Jonathan Wagstaff, my opponent in my last county commissioner campaign, donated $3500 to create this PAC as a vehicle to run 2 negative ads against me and Mike Barber. My opponent-Ms. Payne gave Wagstaff $500 in his campaign and he's given her over $600 in this campaign. They also shared the same campaign treasurer so it's pretty clear they are closely connected. I'm disappointed because my opponent was quoted as saying she would not run a negative campaign, but she has found a way for others to do it for her.)

It only shows that our campaign for Register of Deeds has substance, merit, and we are going to win on Tuesday! I'll cut out the doll part of it for Elle regardless. I know she'll like it!

News and Record Article: An important clarification!

On "one-stop shopping": the (two) terminals for research mentioned in the article have been in the office for 10 years. My intended point was that my opponent has just decided made calls over the past several weeks to get those terminals integrated into the pc's in her office. Right now the terminatls are in separate computers. That is her idea of a "one-stop shop". I disagree totally! This is also another example of a non-collaborative approach with the Tax Department and other Departments during an election year. I view it as "too little- too late" and she is trying to respond to my positions on service integration and collaboration.

Take a look at the article :

Another idea: Regularly scheduled training sessions.....

As Register of Deeds, I will work to have a "SET" schedule for training sessions related to office operations and computer training for attorneys, paralegals, and users (such as citizens who regularly bid on forclosures).

Check out Triad League of Women Voters Candidate Information!

http://www.greensboro.com/lwv/

Information on many local candidates as well as state and federal....

W.O.M.A.N. Event has over 175 attending!

I spoke (along with many other candidates) to the WOMAN event- a non-partisan group last night. I started my 2 minutes with the comment that when I think about Democracy and WOMAN or Women, I think of my wife who likes to remind me that the women's vote has a 2/3 majority in our household between her and my 1 year old daughter Elle! haha.

It was a great event at the City Club and they are a great organization! I'm glad I had the opportunity to attend!
