Home sales struggle....but excise tax revenue from the sale of the homes have remained constant if not higher over the past year. Part of the excise tax revenue goes to county general funds based on NC General Statutes. For FY 04-05, that revenue amounted to about $380,000. Guilford County Property Revaluation played a significant factor in that increase.
