National Deed Service Goes After Elderly in Guilford County!

I've had several calls from elderly citizens offering them the opportunity to receive a certified copy of their deeds for the LOW PRICE of $59.50. The company called National Deed Service is offering this deal. These citizens are in a panic and are worried about their property.

ATTN: ALL GUILFORD CITIZENS: Based on our fees designated by NC General Statute----you can recieve your certified copy of your deed for $5 for the 1st page and $2 each additional page. The average deed is about 2-3 pages. Total cost: $9 (maybe).

You save $50.50.

Is this a rip off and a scam? You decide....

  • Todays date 5/22/07 just received in todays mail an offer from this National Deed Service.Isn't it nice how they pick the ,"right towns" to operate in. In this case Washington D.C. to make it appear "more official"
Their cost for this service is now $69.50.....$10 higher than the previous blogger.
No, I am not going to send them a cent for anything. I can and will get my own for a cost near $10.00. Even with the price of gas over $3.00/gallon, I'll save money and enjoy the ride at the same time
It never fails does it? Like P.T.Barnum once said, "There's a sucker born every day".
I would guess that the Freedom of Information Act gives many people like this a lot of information to do just about anything when it comes to starting new businesses and making "bookoo" money. I will also refrain from saying this is a ripoff and let the reader decide.
