Jeff is interviewed on the Dusty Dunn Radio Show on WGOS- 1070 AM!

Jeff was interviewed by Dusty Dunn on WGOS-1070 AM on Tuesday Morning June 22nd at 9 am!

Jeff talked about Guilford County's budget process, his meeting with the ABC's of High Point, and the campaign for Guilford County Register of Deeds. Jeff's comments on the Register of Deeds campaign concentrated on upgrades in technology, his "Dean Smith" management philosophy, and employee morale and training.

"Dusty Dunn is a local radio icon and an overall good guy", said Jeff. Dusty is interviewing candidates for many local races. Most recently Dusty has interviewed former county manager Roger Cotten, former County Commissioner Paul Gibson, as well as several judicial candidates.

Jeff meets with the ABC's of High Point Monday, June 21st!

Jeff met with 50 citizens with the ABC's of High Point at Deep River Friends Meeting on Monday, June 21st at 7 pm.

The meeting was related to several issues before the Guilford County Board of Commissioners including the Guilford County School's renovation proposal to implement the "High Point Choice Plan" and the School's budget request for local funding for the 04-05 year.

Jeff talked about both issues and fielded questions for about an hour. While his position is to release the funding for the renovations at Andrews High School which the group opposes, Jeff respects the work of the ABC's of High Point and wants to work together on issues of agreement in the future.

Jeff Thigpen talks to Hard Rock Coffee Club on Friday, June 18th!

I had a breakfast meeting (including my potential opponent Elton Edwards) with the Hard Rock Coffee Club at the Starmount Country Club at 7:30 am.

It was a great opportunity to share our views on changes needed in the Guilford County Register of Deeds office. Issues which were discussed included: employee morale and salary; technology enhancement; and office culture.

I appreciate Owen Lewis for inviting me to this event. The Hard Rock Coffee Club is unorthodox and follows its own drumbeat to say the least! They are a great bunch of folks and I recommend it to all!

I hope to return to the group at a future time!

Take care,

Jeff

Dining with Friends Saturday, June 12th!

Michelle, Elle, and I attended the Gilligan's Island theme event at David and Susan Gutterman's wonderful home this past Saturday evening. Later I had the pleasure of being a greeter at the Finale at the Special Events Center-- Greensboro Coliseum!

Hundreds of hands were shaken, thousands of dollars raised for a good cause, and the dessert was outstanding!

Triad Health project provides case management and support for HIV-infected populations in Guilford County and I encourage all of you to support their efforts!

Take care,

Jeff
